Greetings from the STEMS4Girls Board
Hello S4G' Supporters,
Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones. May the New Year bless you with health, peace, and safety.
STEMS4Girls®, Inc. Annual Fundraising has ended $3,000 short of our $50,000 goal. "It's All Good" as we enter into 2023 and look forward to your continued generous support and gifts throughout the year. Let's work together to keep the momentum moving to ensure all children have access to free science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) after-school enrichment opportunities!
When I founded the organization in 2017, I understood the local, national, and global need to prepare more youth for 21st century jobs, especially girls and minorities. I accepted the challenge knowing there were untapped resources in communities where there was little to no access to STEM afterschool learning opportunities. As a young start-up organization, STEMS4Girls®, Inc. is fully operated by volunteers. Our 30 plus volunteers are primarily college students who are majoring in a STEM field of studies and who are serving to give back to the community and their prospective colleges. STEMS4Girls® set out with one goal in mind: to prepare our youth of today to be employed adults of tomorrow with good paying jobs. The pandemic further exacerbated the STEM learning gap primarily among kids attending Title 1 schools.
During the last quarter of 2022, S4G experienced an increase in the need for our services. In one mail out to select schools in Leon County we received over 129 applications from families interested in our STEM Literacy program. Yes, the number of responses was impressive, and we are still receiving more applications. As we continue to find creative ways to support our STEM Literacy program participants we are grateful for the role each of you play in supporting our programs.
You have supported our mission and helped us grow from a start up grassroots community organization into a successful and thriving 5 year after-school STEM Literacy program. The continued support of your time and financial resources is appreciated as we move into 2023 with great hope, expectations, and excitement.
To make a gift offering click this link: https://www.paypal.com/us/fundraiser/charity/3373994 Your gift will help defray our program costs, and you will receive a one-of-a-kind 2023 S4G graphic designed calendar. And, of course, checks by mail are accepted and you'll still get the calendar.

Greetings from the STEMS4Girls Board
Thank you for making a difference in the life of a child!
The S4G third annual Giving Tuesday Year-End Campaign theme is “You Make A World Of Difference!” will kick-off on Giving Tuesday, December 1, 2020. It is the beginning of something good for all of us. But it doesn't have to end there. Investing in our children through our annual end-of-the-year fundraising campaign ensures they have a safe place where they can belong and access to resources that allow them to explore the world of science and technology. Based on research conducted by NASA, exposing young children and youth to science and technology at a young age gives them a jump start to exploring key STEM concepts that will be utilized throughout their education. Here are some testimonies that participants have shared about our STEM Literacy program: “..it taught what may be on the test and stuff that you didn’t know.” - Joneyshka (age 8) “..I liked learning things you didn’t know and maybe half understood, I got a better understanding.”- Yoleiny (age 10) “..it will help with Language Arts and Math and help to think more about things. It helped me understand matter. I learned there are three forms of mass: solids, liquids and gas.” - Eniyah (age 10).
As we continue to turn stumbling blocks into ladders the COVID-19 pandemic has increased the need for our science and math tutorial services. It seems that our most vulnerable children and youth are falling further behind in their academic performance. The problem is real and we are experiencing parents and students frustration first hand.
Your support of $25 or more would make a world of difference in helping us maintain our current level of services and improve our impact in what sometimes seems like a forgotten community of learners!
STEMS4Girls 2020 Board of Directors
A heartfelt thank you to each and everyone who invested in our end of the year fundraising campaign. Your gifts totaling $5,605 continue to inspire the work we are doing to bring STEM education to all children especially those living in underserved communities.
