Greetings from the STEMS4Girls Board
Thank you for making a difference in the life of a child!
The S4G third annual Giving Tuesday Year-End Campaign theme is “You Make A World Of Difference!” will kick-off on Giving Tuesday, December 1, 2020. It is the beginning of something good for all of us. But it doesn't have to end there. Investing in our children through our annual end-of-the-year fundraising campaign ensures they have a safe place where they can belong and access to resources that allow them to explore the world of science and technology. Based on research conducted by NASA, exposing young children and youth to science and technology at a young age gives them a jump start to exploring key STEM concepts that will be utilized throughout their education. Here are some testimonies that participants have shared about our STEM Literacy program: “..it taught what may be on the test and stuff that you didn’t know.” - Joneyshka (age 8) “..I liked learning things you didn’t know and maybe half understood, I got a better understanding.”- Yoleiny (age 10) “..it will help with Language Arts and Math and help to think more about things. It helped me understand matter. I learned there are three forms of mass: solids, liquids and gas.” - Eniyah (age 10).
As we continue to turn stumbling blocks into ladders the COVID-19 pandemic has increased the need for our science and math tutorial services. It seems that our most vulnerable children and youth are falling further behind in their academic performance. The problem is real and we are experiencing parents and students frustration first hand.
Your support of $25 or more would make a world of difference in helping us maintain our current level of services and improve our impact in what sometimes seems like a forgotten community of learners!
